Made to Order by Hand in North Carolina
Each ASH Woodshops pen is individually handmade to order by me, artist-craftsman Alan Huey, in my small workshop in Wake Forest, North Carolina.
I personally select the materials used for each pen and shape the wooden pen body freehand on a lathe.
The body then goes through a detailed multi-step finishing process. Depending on the material and body style, this can involve approximately 12–15 individual steps of shaping, sanding, smoothing, polishing, buffing, and waxing.
The finished wooden body is then carefully joined with the pen's mechanical hardware before receiving its final hand polishing.
Every step is performed with the goal of creating a writing instrument that looks beautiful, feels good in the hand, and is made to be enjoyed for years.

The included cartridge is a high-quality compatible refill and is not necessarily manufactured by Cross.
When you need replacement ink, look for a Cross-style compatible refill.
