New Blog, Not A New Shop 

Hello, and welcome to the new Blog for ASH Woodshops. We have been around for quite a while, 16 years, but it only seems like yesterday that we opened our shop. Our woodworking story begins long before that. I say we, but really just me. I am a one-man shop.

I absolutely love the handmade space. And as the name of our shop implies, we primarily work with wood, but also other mediums. Here is a non-inclusive list:

• wood

• acrylic

• epoxy resins

• metals such as brass

I will keep these posts brief. The intent is to provide information about latest items in our shop, new techniques that I am using to make products, and just general information about being transparent with the fact that I do make everything that I sell myself.

There are real hands in my Handmade Space. I want it to be truly clear that there is a real person behind the products. Not mass produced, but unique, one-of-a-kind useful, artistic products. Some items will be rustic, such as cutting boards and pepper mills made from solid natural wood. Others will be quite elegant, like writing pens with clean lines and good utility. Ther will also be luxurious items, such as fountain pens made from abalone shell with high-quality precious metal trim components. In every case, the quality will be exceedingly high.
